i contemplated LONG AND HARD about posting this anywhere cuz i was just THAT embarrassed but well… IT’S A LAUGHABLE ATTEMPT SO HERE, have something to laugh about with me. i feel SUPER WEIRD seeing my own painting style next to the rest LOLL after i was done, i realized how much i lacked, or more like...what i saw i could improve about my own paintings. These are 3 artists whose painting style and color choice i’ve really admired for a long time, and yea there are A LOOTT of artists whom i admire for this haha but these are the ones i can rmb off the top of my head and think might be most recognizable?
the process of doing this was challenging, a little educational, and (most of all) humbling, because each was incredibly hard to replicate, and this might sound weird but somehow i could feel the years/strain of hard work each of them went through to so effortlessly create what we are so used to seeing them post. i definitely didn't do them justice with my ridiculous attempts, but it was a learning experience! i have even greater respect for these guys right now
i have so much more to learn, in terms of color choice, detailing, texturing etc. and i hope to be more adventurous with my art like these arists clearly have been, to get to where they are (•̀ᴗ•́)و ̑̑
OPPS I THINK THIS ended up as my first deviation of 2015 even though i've been doing quite a bit of art already since the year began x'DD p-please look to either my tumblr and FB for more regular(?) updates!!
I didn't follow the exact format for the original meme i saw, but this was the one exercise i based it off:
this was a fun thing to do, and i recommend it for all artists of all experience levels! I think everyone can learn from this, no matter how small the step! HAVE FUN!!
